My Mental Health Field Guide Disguised as a Memoir
I suffered so hopefully you don’t have to. I’ve been to hell and back so many times the path is well worn.
In 2021 I decided to write this book originally titled “Tip of the Day” which has 19 chapters. Each one is a valuable lesson about life and mental health that I learned the hard way. Because I don’t like things easy, I’m self-published and edited for crying out loud.
Each chapter contains a fully honest account of stories of how I learned valuable lessons, like the time I had an accident in a 7 Eleven bathroom and actually apologized for it. Chapter title “Own Up to Your Shit”.
It took 4 years of maturing and learning before I was ready to edit and release this. I added a bonus intro from my perspective now and an afterword.
God really dealt me a super awesome hand — queer, bipolar, autistic, and substance abuse tendencies (I’m 5 years sober now). He was probably having a good laugh when He made me. But... this caused me to have a lot of helpful stuff to write about.
I’m just trying to help people however I am able. And if that means airing all of my dirty laundry — so be it.

Why Do I Write?
Because deep down all I’ve wanted to do is help people. All of my writing is non-fiction and based on my real life experiences of overcoming many different struggles and battles.
My autistic brain gives me a really unique take on the writing process. My bipolar brain brings fuel and slight chaos to the mix. And my addict brain supplies many real life examples.
Right now I am writing a book geared towards newly diagnosed bipolar people. A kind of survival manual from my own lived experience. I am going to publish a zine of my original poetry as well. I also have a cook book in the works for people who are depressed, broke, or don't know how to cook. Or all 3!
I love writing and fiction isn't my jam - my life is wild enough I don't have to make stuff up.
I hope you read some of my work and it brings you positive change.
